[News] New Canadian draft breast screening guidelines issued

New draft breast screening guidelines issued by the Canadian Task Force on Preventive Health Care on May 30, 2024, were highly anticipated. There had been intense lobbying for a recommendation to screen women in their forties, following the US Preventive Services Task Force move to lower the screening age from 50 to 40 years, in May, 2023. Canada’s Task Force resisted the pressure.
