[News] Training workshop to promote tobacco control in African countries

Between March 1 and March 3, 2023, in Mauritius, WHO conducted a law-related workshop to train judicial officers and legal advisers from various African countries—such as, among others, Botswana, Mauritius, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Kenya, South Africa, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda—regarding the application of legal tools to boost tobacco control in the region and reduce the risk factors for non-communicable diseases (NCDs), including cancer.
