[News] Peru advances towards universal health care for patients with cancer

On July 29, 2024, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) issued a statement praising Peru’s advances towards delivering universal health care for patients with cancer. The IAEA stated that nuclear medicine and radiotherapy services in Peru were being decentralised from Lima, the capital city, and that the country had extended coverage of the human papillomavirus vaccine to include girls up to the age of 18 years.
