[News] Kenya sounds alarm over counterfeit cancer drugs

A recent discovery of counterfeit Herceptin (trastuzumab) in circulation has prompted Kenya’s drugs regulatory authority, the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB; Nairobi, Kenya), to warn citizens and residents to be on alert for batches of the counterfeit drug. In a statement, the PPB urged Kenyans to avoid and report the batch of fake Herceptin (440 mg) that it said is being distributed illegally in the East African country.
