[News] IASLC calls for clinical trials to use tobacco use data

The International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) is calling on researchers to do more to collect data on patients’ tobacco use and smoking cessation during clinical trials.“There’s a tsunami of new cancer drugs coming out, but how tobacco smoke affects most of them is unknown”, said William Evans (McMaster University, Hamilton, ON, Canada), who helped draft the newly announced IASLC position statement and recommendations.
