[News] HPV vaccination programme success in Scotland

A new study by Tim J Palmer (Public Health Scotland, Glasgow, UK) and colleagues has revealed that no cases of cervical cancer have been detected in Scotland in anyone who received the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine when they were 12 or 13 years. Palmer told The Lancet Oncology that the results indicated that Scotland was well on the way to eliminating cervical cancer in young women.
