[News] Canada to put health warnings on individual cigarettes

For many years a front runner in its tobacco control efforts, Canada is to take the further step of labelling individual cigarettes with health warnings. Health Canada, the country’s federal health agency, announced new regulations that would take effect on Aug 1, 2023, and estimates that all retailers nationwide will be selling only these new-style cigarettes by April, 2025.
