Neoadjuvant treatment in cancer is an interesting approach for locally advanced disease and has been applied in different types of cancer. The aim of treatment for locally advanced cancer is to help debulk the disease, to conserve an organ, and, in situations such as unresectable disease without access to radiotherapy, to enable surgery. It is also important to treat the disease outside its area and, finally, to have an idea of the biology of the tumour.
