[News] US Government sues to halt carcinogenic air pollution

The US Government has filed a federal Clean Air Act lawsuit against the nation’s only manufacturer of neoprene synthetic rubber, used in wetsuits and adhesives, saying air pollution from its chemical plant disproportionately exposes Black residents—including children at a nearby elementary school—to chloroprene, a probable human carcinogen.
